Jerk Exercises
A Jerk is moving a bar from shoulder to overhead with an leg drive, and then using your upper body to push yourself into a stable receiving position. They’re excellent for training full body coordination and overhead strength. There are different variations, but Split Jerk is by far the most common, power jerks are commonly seen at weightlifting meets and in CrossFit, and squat jerks are not seen as often as the accuracy, flexibility, and leg strength demands can present issues for many athletes.
